I just wanted to let you know that it is today, exactly 2 years ago, that Temba was first diagnosed with his Kidney Incidence that resulted in high urea readings in his blood work. It was immediately following this that you mentioned the need (urgency) for him to go on “subcutaneous fluids” (a concept that was completely foreign and unknown to me). I remember asking you at the time how long your cat had been on these fluids for and you still said to me that it had been 2 years. At the time I couldn’t imagine this timeframe as our other cat (Gogo), who was not on subcutaneous fluids after receiving a similar diagnosis two years prior (we didn’t know about this treatment option) passed away within 14 days of being diagnosed.
And so…
Today, exactly 2 years later, Temba is still receiving his subcutaneous fluids and doing amazingly well. I just thought that I would share this momentous occasion with you – and to once again express my gratitude and appreciation for the impact that you have had, not only in his life, but mine as well.
